Team Building &l Problem Solving
Using the natural environment of the countryside we set up a series of strategic challenges focused on problem solving, team work, building self confidence, decision making, resolving conflict, establishing trust, etc. All key elements of "The Learning Outside The Classroom" manifesto.
These one day events are normally based on an orienteering course. Each team of approximately 4 – 8 will use map reading skills to navigate their way.
En route teams will face a variety thought provoking & physical challenges that will only be overcome by team work and applying initiative. All challenges are closely monitored by our instructors.
The degree of difficulty set for each course will depend on the age and abilities of each group. This will be discussed with the school organiser at the planning phase
Typical challenges could be river or gorge crossings, they could involve abseils, zip lines or low rope traverses. For those less adventurous in the team you will have your moment of glory solving the various problem solving tasks, these require lateral, out of the box thinking, including finding and solving clues, Get out of that scenarios, anagrams etc…
