Rising high in the Monadhliath Mountains, the River Findhorn quickly descends north of Aviemore towards Findhorn Bay on the Moray coast.
White water rafting the River Findhorn is a truly memorable experience – its fast flowing grade 3 & 4 rapids such as Leven’s Gorge, Dulsie Gorge and Carnage Corner will have your adrenalin flowing.
Rafting on the River Findhorn is suitable for teen’s and adult groups and is particularly popular with stag and hen parties. The middle section is also suitable for confident children accompanied by adults. This middle stretch is also popular with our mini rafts and duckies.
Rising at over 1000 feet at Loch Spey near the famous Corrieyairack pass in the Scottish Highlands, the Spey descends to flow through Newtonmore, crossing Loch Insh before reaching Aviemore. From there it flows the remaining 60 miles north-east to the Moray Firth.
White water rafting on the River Spey is on the fast flowing stretches between Grantown on Spey and Aberlour. These stretches provide fun grade 2+ rapids including the famous “washing machine rapid”. Rafting on the Spey is suitable for families and younger people however adults will still have a ball on our mini rafts or Duckies.

The River Tay flows out of Loch Tay in the Central Highlands. This trip can start from Loch Tay itself or more commonly from Aberfeldy. From here the Tay starts off quiet and pleasant and gradually builds to give many grade 2/3 rapids before finally reaching the grade 3 national slalom course at Grandtully.
Rafting the River Tay is suitable for families and younger people however adults will still have a ball particularly in our mini rafts or Duckies.

High above Royal Deeside the River Dee rises at 4000ft on the plateau of The Cairngorms, the highest source of any major river in the British Isles. The River Nith Flows from The Ayrshire hills near Glen Afton where Burns wrote his famous “Flow gently Sweet Afton” Don’t however be led to believe that the Nith resembles this in anyway. At grade 3/4 rafting the River Nith is an unforgettable experience and is one of the best in Scotland as well as being one of the most beautiful. The Nith not only gives you fast bouncy water with many holes and stoppers, it is one of the more technical rivers in Scotland so paddlers have to be on the ball from the start.
White water rafting the River Nith is suitable for adult groups; it is also suitable for confident young people 14+ accompanied by adults.
White Water Rafting in Ayrshire may seem a little unlikely and more reminiscent of a Highland adventure but the River Doon is real gem. With guaranteed water flowing from Loch Doon all year round the lower section of the Doon offers narrow and technical rafting with regular grade 2&3 rapids and drops. Uniquely, the River Doon finishes on the beach at Ayr. Given its technical nature we raft the Doon using a mix of mini rafts and duckies.
Rafting & Duckying on the River Doon is great fun for families, groups and individuals.
We also raft on the River Ayr (Grade 2/4) and the River Nith (grade 4). These rivers need wet conditions to run and are more likely to be available through the Autumn and winter months. We are happy to take advance bookings for either of these Rivers. If river levels are too low we will switch to the Doon.
