Craigower Lodge - Cairngorm Adventure Centre

Craigower Lodge is situated in the Highland village of Newtonmore within the magnificent Cairngorms National Park. It is the perfect year round location for all outdoor activities including mountain, water and snow sports. The area has an abundance of low and high level walks and cycle routes, and if you love wildlife and nature, you will be spoilt for choice of places to explore and wildlife to see.

The comfortable Lodge accommodates up to 68 people and can be split into 2 sections each with their own accommodation, lounges and kitchens. It is the perfect place for all types of groups to get together. The Lodge is commonly used for family gatherings, climbing or canoe club meets as well as a wide range of educational visits. We've even hosted weddings!

We can also provide equipment rental for most outdoor sports including canoes, mountain bikes and kayaks. Instruction or guiding is available if required.

Newtonmore

Newtonmore is easily reached by car, train, bus & flights to Inverness. Its central location makes it ideal for exploring the Highlands and it is a perfect location for a wide range of outdoor activities including climbing, hill walking, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking skiing & snowboarding.

The village is only 30 minutes from Cairngorm and 45 minutes from Nevis Range ski areas. The village offers a range of attractions including the Highland Folk Park, Highland Wildlife Park, the Wildcat Trail, hotels & restaurants, an 18 Hole Golf Course, tennis courts, the Clan Macpherson Museum, riding stables and a bowling green. Within a few miles we have Insh Marshes RSPB reserve and General Wade's Ruthven Barracks.

Parking

Please be aware that parking is limited within the grounds of the hostel. As this is our main activity base, we need constant, unrestricted access for our buses, trailers and equipment. There are a number of alternative parking options located nearby within the village. We appreciate your cooperation on this.
