Learning to develop your launching skills, forwarding paddling and journeying, on open water in winds of up to and including force 3 and rivers with Grade 1 rapids, with simple eddy lines and flows.Achieving the BC Canoe Award standard is a pre-requisite for your British Canoeing Core Coach Training.
BC Kayak White Water AwardBritish CanoeingThe White Water Award will give you the ability to apply your choices to a successful day on rivers of up to Grade 2, supporting you in the understanding and use of the fundamentals in white water paddling.Achieving the BC Kayak Award standard is a pre-requisite for your British Canoeing Core Coach Training.
BC Sea Kayak AwardBritish CanoeingThe Sea Kayak Award endorses your skill, judgment and decision making required for a successful day on the sea. You will be confident in planning and undertaking journeys on the sea, in winds up to and including force 3 and/or tides up to 1 Knot.Achieving the BC Sea Kayak Award standard adds great value to your British Canoeing Core Coach Training.
Paddlesports Instructor*British CanoeingPaddlesport Instructor, combined training and assessment course will support you to run games and activities to support learning and exploration for new paddlers in stable craft. You will learn skills such as kitting up a group and getting afloat, initial familiarisation activities and how to use mini journeys to support learning.We do not offer this qualification on our Instructor Training Courses, we start at the higher standard (Core Coach Training and BC Sheltered Water Coach Award Canoe & Kayak).
British Canoeing Core Coach TrainingBritish CanoeingYou will be confident in planning and undertaking journeys on the sea, in winds up to and including force 3 and/or tides up to 1 Knot,Completion of this training course allows you to progress to the craft specific discipline assessments (i.e. Sheltered Water Coach Award Canoe & Kayak).
BC Canoeing Sheltered Water Coach Award (Canoe & Kayak)British CanoeingThe Coach Awards are designed for people whose core function is to coach paddlers who want to gain/improve paddlesport skills within the discipline chosen. This will include coaching beginners new to the sport, or paddlers looking to develop their skills in the given discipline/environment. The coach is able to plan, deliver and review progressive sessions safely, effectively and independently.BC Canoeing Coach Award, Canoe & Kayak
BC Stand Up Paddle Board AwardBritish Canoeing1 day course facilitated by Paddlesports NGB. This module is for competent paddlers at BC Level 1 standard. This module allows you to lead SUP sessions on sheltered waterBC SUP Sheltered Water Award.
BSUPA Level 1 Course.2 day course designed for new instructors to watersports to teach the BSUPA Level 1 Course.Allows teaching basic intro sessions on very sheltered water. Not and NGB Qualification.

Gorge Scramble Leader TrainingIn-HouseExperience a variety of different gorges, sets ups and safety in running gorge scrambling with clientsIn-house training  which will enable you to lead groups on gorge scrambling days and specific venues.
Ducky Leader TrainingIn-HouseExperience a variety of different rivers and safety in running ducky (inflatable canoes) trips with clients.In-house training which will enable you to assist on grade 2 Ducky river trips.

Lowland Leader*Mountain TrainingThe Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions.We do not offer this qualification on our Instructor Training Courses, we focus on the Mountain Leader qualification which we believe is an essential core qualification of any outdoor instructor training course and offers real job and career prospects.
Hill and Moorland LeaderMountain TrainingThis qualification is for walkers who want to learn the skills required for effective group leadership in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland.We do not offer this qualification on our Instructor Training Courses, we focus on the Mountain Leader qualification which we believe is at the core of any outdoor instructor training course.
Summer Mountain Leader (SML)Mountain TrainingThe Mountain Leader scheme is designed for people who want to lead groups in the highest mountains, hills or moorlands. An essential and core qualification that has so many career benefits in the UK and overseas. This qualification will add so much to your CV and will bring so much to your leadership abilities in many sports & environments.You will complete your Mountain Leader training during the Instructor Training Course.  Students who have already completed the training will focus on the assessment
Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI)Mountain TrainingThis qualification is all about supervising safe climbing and abseiling sessions on single pitch crags and artificial structures. The Rock Climbing Instructor qualification trains and assesses experienced rock climbers to instruct climbing.You will complete your Rock Climbing Instructor training during the Instructor Training Course.  Students who have already completed the training will focus on the assessment
Mountain Biking Leader Level 1*British CyclingThe aim of this award is to upskill members of staff or volunteers, either from a basic level of MTB proficiency or from ‘in-house’ training. The Level 1 Leaders will be trained to a standard that enables them to lead introductory level mountain bike rides.We do not offer BC Level 1 or any other Mountain Bike Award such as MIAS or Cycling UK as we believe that Cyclings Governing Body, British Cycling offer the industry standard courses. The BC Level 2 will offer the best career prospects.
Mountain Biking Leader Level 2British CyclingThe Level 2 Mountain Bike Leadership Award enables qualified leaders to use their experience to safely guide others on off-road terrain within the Level 2 remit.Training or Assessment for students who have previously completed the training.
Winter Walking Skills TrainingMountain TrainingIntroduction to the skills, equipment and decision making processes required to travel safely in the UK’s highest mountains in winter conditions.A magnificent eye opening experience to the challenges of navigating in winter conditions. An insight into the winter ML scheme.
Outdoor First Aid CertificationAssociation of First Aiders2 Day first aid course covering a range of outdoor scenarios applicable to your new working environment.First Aid at Work Certification to validate your outdoor qualifications.
