Ski Lessons in the Nevis Range and GlencoeActive’s ski & snowboard school provide ski lessons at the Nevis range or Glencoe. Although, we will select the ski centre with the best conditions and weather as well as the most suitable runs to match our clients ability. We are the only company offering this level of individualized service. Your day also includes transport to any of these areas. Saving you money and allowing you to relax as we drive you to the slopes. No one else offers this service. The easy to use chart below will help you to work out your ski requirements automatically. Skier Type GuideThe skier type guide helps us to ensure we set up your equipment correctly and safely for your day on the slopes. If you never or have very little ski / board experience you will be a type 1.
Type I II III Skis cautiously and prefer skiing at slower speeds. Happy on easy or moderate, Green or Blue slopes.Novice/cautious skiing at lighter release/retention settings. Entry level skiers uncertain of their classification. Skiing more confidently at faster speeds. Preferring mixed terrain and steeper gradients, typically Blue or Red slopes.. Average/moderate skiing at average release/retention settings. Aggressive, higher speed skiing on all runs, in all conditions and venturing off piste. Skiers who designate themselves type 3 must accept higher binding release/retention settings.
