High above Royal Deeside the River Dee rises at 4000ft on the plateau of The Cairngorms, the highest source of any major river in the British Isles. The main sections for rafting the river Dee is between Ballater and Banchory. This stretch contains magnificent scenery as well as many entertaining grade 2 and 3 rapids.
