Starting at over 1000 feet at Loch Spey near the famous Corrieyairack pass the Spey descends to flow through Newtonmore and Aviemore. From there it flows through malt whisky country the remaining 60 miles to the Moray Firth. Duckying on the River Spey is on the fast flowing stretches between Grantown on Spey and Aberlour. These stretches provide fun and safe grade 2+ rapids including the famous “washing machine rapid”. Duckies on the Spey is suitable for families and adult groups alike
